Report Developer
Job Profile:
Reports to Data and Analytics Manager
Address business needs by providing the best solution utilizing either SSRS, Crystal Reports, Dashboards or Analytics medium appropriately.
Create, maintain, and support complex reports (cross tabs, pivot tables, drill downs, etc.), sub-reports with multipart formulas, stored procedures, custom tables and customized functions utilizing SSRS or Crystal Reports 2008
Develops reports with accurate, easy to read, useful information by use of reporting best practices
Test and evaluate information and reconcile any differences from expected results
Respond to user ad-hoc requests for data, advising and assisting with options for providing relevant information.
Assist to create mockups and prototypes that conform to the best practice information architecture and user interface design.
Write and maintain technical specifications.
Document and research production issues and coordinate timely resolution.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Education and/or
Experience:
Seeking Bachelor?s Degree and 1-3 yrs of equivalent experience in a related discipline or a similar combination of education and experience relevant to the position.
Experience in developing reports using Crystal Reports or SSRS
Experience working with databases, SQL 2008 R2 or 2012, ODBC, and SQL Development Skills
Experience with analytical manipulation and interpretation of large databases
Experience with Business Intelligence Tools and Dashboards a plus, but not required.
Experience with XML a plus, but not required.
Other Skills and abilities:
Good time management and organizational skills; ability to complete multiple reports for multiple projects on time and in scope
Possession of excellent analysis and data gathering skills
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Good at face to face customer service
Projects self-confidence, enthusiasm, and a positive, can do attitude.
Attention to detail using thorough thought processes
Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, organization, time management and communication skills
Must be able to respond flexibly to changing circumstances.
Self-motivated and able to prioritize requests and take ownership of tasks from origination to resolution
Availability to work during off peak work hours when necessary to insure smooth operations during office hours ? may include on-call support.
